The American Board for Occupational Health Nurses, Inc., (ABOHN) is the sole certification agency for those who hold the credential of
Certified Occupational Health Nurses (COHN) or Certified Occupational Health Nurse-Specialist (COHN-S). To maintain certification, COHNs/COHN-S
must re-certify every 5 years. A requirement for this recertification is the completion of 50 continuing education units (CEUs) that are related
to occupational health practice.
