OVERVIEW
Ethics in a Multicultural Context is a practical
text and resource book intended to help mental health practitioners
and trainees develop ethical decision-making skills which reflect
cultural responsiveness. The main focus is ethical decision-making
in an applied counselling context.
The
book: covers ethical dilemmas arising in face-to-face counselling
interactions; the supervisory relationship; and the teaching of
counselling.
Each
chapter of Ethics in a Multicultural Context includes
cases or critical incidents followed with suggested exercises that
can be used in counsellor education settings, includes comprehensive
and practical treatment on ethical decision-making in a multicultural
context and focuses on strategies to promote critical thinking in
regard to ethical multicultural practice.
