Course Overview

This course provides a review of HIPAA with a focus on Workers' Compensation. We will address 2017 updates and special circumstances involving HIPAA, reporting to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS), cloud computing and information on the opioid epidemic. We then present a review of cultural diversity, outlining different strategies and approaches useful in your daily practice. Several case studies are included as a review for cultural respect.
